Essay Writing Tips
Don't use technical jargon. If you use an techinical word you need to explain what it means.
Don't use quotes unless they contain a memorable turn of phrase. Try to use your own words. If you do use a quote, make sure you say who it is from.
It's better to cover fewer topics with clear explanations than to cover many topics superficially.
You need to come up with your own analogies rather than recycling Lisa Randall's.
Your essay has to be self contained so that it can be understood by someone who has not read Lisa Randall's book.
Remember David Kestenbaum's rule: you have to be able explain your topic to your intelligent but slightly inebriated uncle.
